Watch: Orphaned polar bear cub adjusting to life at Alaska Zoo

Meet Kali, an orphaned polar bear cub being cared for at the Alaska Zoo.

With his yet-too-big paws and seemingly-insatiable curiosity, Kali gives us a look at the innocent side of the majestic bears.

The zoo took in the cub after he lost his mother earlier this month. He is believed to be 3 or 4 months old.

The name “Kali” — pronounced “Cully” — is Inupiat for Point Lay, where the bear was found.

Kali will not be a permanent resident of the zoo, which already has two resident adult polar bears. U.S. Fish and Wildlife officials will decide on his permanent home.
