Celebrate the art of beer! This free art show features over 50 original advertising artworks created for the Olympia Brewing Company during the 1930s through 1950s. These paintings (hidden away for decades and only recently rediscovered) were translated into billboards, and were then meant to be thrown away. They illustrate the social norms during the Depression and war years. The exhibit is guest-curated by Art Chantry, nationally known poster artist and art historian. The exhibit is sponsored by the Olympia Tumwater Foundation, O Bee Credit Union, and a Heritage Grant from Thurston County.
