Sound Effect, Episode 8: Small & Tiny

"Sound Effect" is a weekly tour of ideas, inspired by the place where we live. The show is hosted by KNKX's Gabriel Spitzer.

Each week's show will explore a different theme. In this week's show, we illuminate the mighty power of small things.

KNKX's Arwen Nicks talks with poet Amanda Laughtland about her poetry zines and small press, Teeny Tiny. Gabriel Spitzer learns about the world inside of a raindrop from David Smith.

Florangela Davila introduces us to some dancers who choreographed and preformed some monstrous dances on very small stages. Bellamy Pailthorp heads over to Redmond to learn about Helion Energy, a company that believes it is on the verge of usable fusion energy. And Martha Kang tells us about some of her favorite small-themed Quirksee pieces.

Our guests for this week's news round table are Ansel Herz, Joanne Silberner and Andrea Otanez.
