Snow in the lowlands may snarl Friday's morning commute, says KPLU weather expert Cliff Mass.
“Models are still suggesting that there will be extensive lowland snow on Friday morning, between roughly 1 to 2 a.m. and 10 a.m.,” said Mass, who teaches atmospheric sciences at the University of Washington, on his weather blog.
The Cascades will see about a foot of snow, said Mass, and the snow will extend into northwest Washington over Seattle and the Eastside.
“The commute on Friday morning could well be problematic for many, so be prepared for it,” said Mass.
The National Weather Service said some spots could see 2 to 4 inches of snow, which will accumulate. But Friday afternoon, temperatures will warm and the snow will turn into rain.
