We've all experienced it.
You're going somewhere busy so there's a long tail-back at the exit. You dutifully take your place at the back of the line, only to watch other drivers zip-up to the front, and squeeze in at the last moment.
State Police Lieutenant Greg Hastings, says it's dangerous and that troopers issued dozens of $142 dollar citations hours after Thanksgiving dinner was finished.
Greg Hastings: "By stopping in the center lane they endanger others out there on the roadway by doing so, because you have people driving 65 miles per hour on the freeway and all of a sudden they're coming up to someone who's stopped in the center lane, trying to wait to move over into the right lane so they can get off the freeway." Hastings says last year troopers issued 51 citations during the same 'Moonlight Madness' sale. I'm Kristian Foden-Vencil reporting.
