Highlighted are appearances by pianist Stanley Cowell, Karrin Allyson, Sonando and The Eastside Jazz Extravaganza with Trish, Hans & Phil and the 10-member Full Circle Jazz Ensemble next weekend.
Host Jim Wilke samples the regional jazz scene each Sunday afternoon, either by highlighting upcoming performances or by playing recordings he's made at recent concerts. Next week on Jazz Northwest, Oliver Groenewald's New Net, a new 9-piece band playing his original compositions and arrangements, will be heard in a performance recorded in the "Art of Jazz" series at The Seattle Art Museum this month.
