This Saturday you can join the green-minded at events in Seattle celebrating the international day of action on climate change.
First thing in the morning you can be in a parade of boats and bikes, feet and wheels, pedaling, rowing, sailing, walking, dancing, skipping, skating, jumping, cartwheeling our sweet selves from all over Cascadia to Lake Union Park, according to the Website for the Moving Planet Seattle events.
At noon you can join Seattle Councilman Mike O'Brienat a presentation and discussion with Got Green highlighting the release of that group’s report Women in the Green Economy, Voices from Southeast Seattle.
The report was based on a survey of 200 mothers from Southeast Seattle that asks low-income women and people of color what their priorities are for the green movement in Seattle, Got Green’s Website says.
That event is at South Lake High School, 8601 Rainier Ave S., in Seattle.
Then you can go back to South Lake Union for a rally “to move beyond fossil fuels.”
