King County health officials say a child with measles may have infected people at several suburban Seattle tennis clubs.
The child is a King County resident who was incompletely vaccinated and had been exposed to a sibling with the measles. The sibling's illness was reported a few weeks ago by King County health officials.
People who have not been vaccinated may have been exposed to the measles during the last week of August at tennis clubs in Kirkland and Bellevue.
If you were in these areas during that week are not immune to measles, the most likely time you would become sick is between Sept. 4 and Sept. 20.
Measles is a highly contagious and potentially severe disease that causes fever, rash, cough, and red, watery eyes. It is mainly spread through coughing and sneezing.
