Seattle Myst

This week on Sound Effect, we share stories some of areas that can be unclear from time to time. We start by talking to a former Seattle resident who moved to a sister city in Ireland where the weather is also gray. Next, we talk to a reporter and a retired judge about an article that was written about the judge’s ruling that let a sex offender go. Also, some students chime in on their experience in an “ethics bowl,” which is like debate, but you can change your mind. Then, a hospice nurse shares her feelings about how the time nearing death can be a positive one. We’ll meet a man who had a wartime job in the Middle East that led to an unlikely career as a phone sex operator. Finally, 88-5’s Ashley Gross ponders if it is ok to go gray.

"Sound Effect" is your weekly tour of ideas, inspired by the place we live. The show is hosted by 88.5's Gabriel Spitzer.
