Governor Inslee Spends Night In Darrington

Mar 25, 2014

Governor Jay Inslee and the first lady spent Monday night in Darrington, near the site of Washington's deadly mudslide.

A spokesman for the governor's office says they participated in a community meeting and have been talking to local residents and first responders.

David Postman says the governor told him the meeting at the local high school was constructive. People asked a lot of questions about what is happening with the search. Some were understandably frustrated.

Postman says Trudi Inslee spent all day Monday in Darrington, meeting with families and stopping by the ranger station. The governor split his time between Darrington and Arlington.

Both are expected to travel back to Olympia on Tuesday.
