Naked City Brewery and Taphouse and the I & I Double IPA on cask.

Naked City Brewery and Taphouse in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood recently celebrated their 3rd anniversary by throwing a party and serving up 15 of their own beers, including the I & I Double IPA on cask.

I didn't make it to the big party but I did stop by the next day, and there were plenty of good Naked City brews to try. Being a big hophead, I had to give the I & I a try. It didn't disappoint. The hops were big, the scent was floral and piney.

Seattle is blessed with many neighborhood brewpubs. What breweries are in your neck of the woods and what do you recommend when you take a first-time visitor?

NW Craft Brews” is a new weekly Web feature published Fridays here at KPLU.org. Let us know what your favorite beer is right now, either here or on our Facebook page. Cheers!

Guest contributor Paul Gibson originally hails from Carlsbad, New Mexico, but he prefers the Northwest’s cooler temperatures and its vast selection of hoppy delicious beers. As a kid, he first started taking photos with an Instamatic of his friends on their BMX bikes. Now he takes photos of beer, breweries and on occasion street photography, events and concerts—minus the Instamatic. You can find more photos and follow Paul on Twitter at @pdgibson.
