Classic Blue Skies In Seattle For July 4th; Just A Few Clouds This Weekend

“The bluest skies you’ve ever seen are in Seattle” — so goes the corny Perry Como TV tune from the late '60s. But it’s still true nearly 50 years on. The weekend forecast includes more of that great weather – only sullied by a few clouds coming in from the ocean over the weekend. And the blue skies will be back in time for July 4th festivities.

He says Friday’s weather will be “perfect – sunny, absolutely dry, highs in the lower 80s. So, it’s going to be the warmest day of the weekend – so, really wonderful.”

After that he says a series of weak disturbances high above us will move through and push marine air into Western Washington, bringing a little bit of cloudiness in on Saturday morning.

“Temperatures will be knocked down [by that],” Mass said, predicting temps in the lower to mid-70s. But he says Saturday morning’s clouds will burn off in the afternoon with no rain.

He says Sunday will be “very similar. We’ll have morning clouds and temperatures rising up into the 70s, as the clouds burn off to the coast.

Then he predicts even better weather to move in Monday and on the July 4th holiday, as high pressure build over the eastern Pacific.

“I think Monday could be a little step up – and it looks like Independence Day on Tuesday should be really quite nice – temperatures getting into the upper 70s, maybe near 80 – sunny, certainly in the afternoon. So, it’ll be absolutely perfect for anything on the July 4th weekend, here in Western Washington.”
