Did you feel it?
A 3.6-magnitude quake hit Key Center, Wash., located across Henderson Bay from Gig Harbor, at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The shallow quake was just 3 miles deep, according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network. No damages were reported.
Several people in Gig Harbor and Olympia reported feeling their houses shake.
“It was really strong in Gig Harbor. Whole house shook—but it didn’t last very long, so I thought it must have been a big truck passing,” said Laurel Johns Kingsbury on Facebook.
"Felt building shake in Olympia," said Jeremy Bertrand.
Residents in Vashon Island, Auburn, and Harstine Island also reported having felt the rattle.
