Join KNKX for lokalfest on Saturday, September 9th- a day of music on the waterfront, and a chance for the businesses of Poulsbo to give back to its residents, students, and volunteers. The hard work and dedication of our local folk throughout the year help make our community an amazing place to live and work, and we want to say, “Thank You!”. A festive evening offering local roots music (Jazz and American culture music) will be held in the Pavilion on the Poulsbo Waterfront beginning at 3:00pm. A lineup of five bands will provide an evening of fun for all ages, and it is FREE! KNKX's Ed Ronco, Abe Beeson and Robin Lloyd will be on hand. Stop by the KNKX booth and say hi!
Thanks to the support of our local media sponsors, VisitKitsap Peninsula, Kitsap Daily News, we are pleased to announce the lineup: Ranger & The Re-Arrangers, Les Paulish Trio, and the Mark Lewis Quartet as our opening sets. Local indi- dream pop artists Lemolo take the stage at 7:30pm, and the evening tops off with headliner Pearl Django at 9:15pm. There will also be performances by student ensembles. This is made possible from the help and support of Valley Nursery, Blue Heron Jewelers, Peninsula Paint, Gresham Pump & Drilling and Central Market.
This full day of fun begins at 11am on Front Street, when downtown Poulsbo comes alive. Enjoy our local restaurants, activities for the kids, and local businesses and artists offering handcrafted artisanal wares for sale. Our festive artwalk will run concurrently from 5pm-8pm. Buskers throughout the downtown will bring Front Street alive by adding their musical touch to the festivities. Downtown will be easily accessible, and all of our parking will remain available. So bring your favorite blanket or chair, and plan on getting to town early to secure your favorite viewing spot in the park for this exciting day of music and fun.
